Deloitte Trick-or-Treat

Nick's office did a little Trick-or-Treat for the Kids today. So we got all dressed up and headed downtown to get treats from Dad's work!! The boys had a great time!

What a super cute crayon and handsome superman!

Landon loves to pull things in and out of containers, so he got really into grabbing the treats from the bag. He did a lot of trading with his candy - He liked the idea of giving a treat in return for receiving a new one. What a fun game!

Trip to Arizona!

Spencer the Pilot - What?!

Spencer was so excited to fly to Grandma and Grandpa Tobler's. As a matter of fact he kept telling me that he wanted to fly all by himself so he could go earlier than Wednesday. When we boarded the plane the co-pilot asked Spencer if he'd like to check out the cockpit! This only added to the sheer awesomeness of being able to fly!

Super cool Spencer...

Spencer and his buddy Jackson. All of Spencer's cousins are super nice to him and treat him like royalty! He loves being in Arizona!

Grandpa, Landon and Spencer. We love being with our grandparents!

The Pumpkin Patch

While in Arizona we went to a pumpkin patch just around the corner from the Tobler's. It had the most unique pumpkins and the kids loved to run around and see everything.

Landon you are so cute!

Super cute you guys!

Trying to find just the right pumpkins for all the grandkids!

Collecting all the pumpkins they can fit in the wagon.

Carving Pumpkins

Carving our Pumpkins at the Hanson's house after a yummy BBQ! Ya gotta love Arizona weather in the fall!!
Spencer and Mommy - best buddies!

Showing off our pumpkins. We were a little slow about getting ours cut, so we missed the photo with all the cousins and their pumpkins, but we all had a great time.

Little night stroll...

While we were in Arizona we went with Maren and Kevin to the Suns vs. Nuggets game. (Thanks to Marc who gave us his tickets) Let's just say the nuggets look like they are going to have a great year! I'm sure glad I sided with Kevin on this one and wore blue to the game!

Happy Birthday Landon

Landon and daddy - Landon turned 1 year old today!! We went first thing to get his pictures taken - hence the reason he is looking super handsome!

After pictures we decided to go to an early Lunch (11:00a.m.) at Café Rio! (Yes Boise just opened up their very own Café Rio – Hence the reason for going so early) It was day 2 of the grand opening and we were afraid there would be huge lines. Everyone at the restaurant was very attentive to us and when we told them it was Landon’s birthday and he picked the restaurant himself (ha ha) I think they decided to even step it up a notch more on the super friendly way helpful side. They even brought him out a Tres Letche Dessert for us to share!! Confirmation that I LOVE Café Rio!

Landon loved his cupcake!! Anyone surprised?!
My Mom, Dad and Stephanie were going to come for Landon’s Birthday on Saturday, but my great Uncles funeral changed that and my mom headed to CA for the Monday services. I spent the rest of the week trying to figure out how Nick, Spencer, Landon and I could eat 24 cupcakes and 5 dozen cookies all by ourselves. Surprisingly enough we have done a pretty good job!

I have to say he loved the singing toy pot we gave him. I knew it would be a hit, but he kept opening and closing the lid and putting the vegetables in and out. I knew after dragging him out of my dish drawers each day and finally putting a lock down on the kitchen after he shattered the lid to my pot that this would be the perfect gift. Motherly intuition, or just keeping the peace? I’ll let you decide.
Landon “o-od” and “Awed” at all of the balloons...

"Argh" super cute pirate!

The boys!!

A day with Landon...

Talk about so stinkin' cute!! This little man is getting into everything these days!!

Seriously we have a little linebacker on our hands - he is already practicing for football tryouts in 5 years! At least if he's good and strong I won't have to worry about so many injuries.

Smiles!

More smilies!!

What?! Did I get caught?

Landon just being the little stud that he is! Don't ya just want to give him a kiss and a big squeeze!! I'll give him one for ya!

Spencer will always be Spencer!

One of his new favorite games is ticket to ride... we haven't taught him to play the full game, but slowly we are molding him into a full fledged game player. He mainly loves to line up all the little trains on their tracks... it's who he is...
Just like this... Spencer loves to organize and line up his toys. He has always been particularly good at putting things in just the right spot. He gets really frustrated when Landon comes through and wrecks all of his things. I know I can count on him to put his toys away in the right spot and fix things that are miss placed or disorganized like our shoe closet!

Close Encounter with a T-Rex

We went to this really awesome animatron dinosaur exhibit. Spencer loved every minute of it. To be honest I thought it was pretty cool myself.

Can't take my eyes off the dinosaurs.

Activity canter after seeing the dinosaurs...

Pretty cool looking!!

What little boy wouldn't love this!! We searched all over this summer for cool dinosaur exhibits, and this one came to us!!

Idaho State Fair

The boys checking out the big farm equipment.

What is that?! And does it really belong in a petting zoo?!

More strange animals at the petting zoo.

We went to the fair with our friends the Nestler's. We had a great time walking around and hanging out. However, by the time dinner came around our kids were all tuckered out and wind blown, so we decided to skip the greasy overpriced fair food and head for the Olive Garden. I must say it was a delicious alternative, and it was a lot easier to visit around the table!

Summer Highlights

Going to the Rodeo to watch Mom's Cousin Kevin calf rope! Spencer got to ride on the horse (GiGi) and has talked about it ever since!

Our garden looking pretty green and lush! I couldn't wait for tomatoes - and then they came and we had a huge overabundance! Would you like tomatoes on your ice cream?!

Spencer and friends at the Zoo.

All on board!

The lone pear! We call it the pear of youthful life, or the forbidden fruit - seeing as there was only one.... we babied that pear all year long, and then final picked it and brought it inside to eat... long story short we forgot about it and it went mushy! After all that we never even had a bite. I guess we'll never know if it would have lengthened our life or not :o(
