Ultrasound!

We got our 20 week ultrasound done and everything looked the same... as in yes we are officially having another BOY!!
We are so excited!
Of course Spencer had us convinced that we were having a girl this time. We have been calling her by name for months (ie. "Nichelle" Maybe some day, is already on our FHE board and we have a tag for her birthday!) Spencer has told everyone that he is having a baby sister...He was very determined to buy her a doll, and would never let us say it might be a little brother! Well, we took both boys to the ultrasound and let the tech break the news. Spencer seemed excited in the ultrasound room, but while waiting to see the doctor he kept saying, "That's silly. We don't need another brother. We're supposed to have a little sister this time." Nick and I were still in a little shock like... (our family is about to out number us - and 3 boys means were out of control, Oh by the way we better start that mission fund we've been talking about! And we need a name... we still have 3 girl names, but have had to come up with a boy name each time.) As I started going through a list of boy names with Nick on the way to my parents house to spill the beans Spencer started to cry, "I don't want another Landon, we already have a brother and I want a sister this time! Not next time!" Lets just say after a bag of candy he finally decided that it was silly, but okay! I on the other hand stayed up until all hours of the night determined to settle on a name, which surprisingly enough I think I did! (But you'll have to wait until it's official - that is once we get something embroidered from Grandma... Isn't that pretty much as good as a social security card!)

Pizza Hut Pre-school

Our local Pizza Hut let our pre-school group come in before they opened and learn about making pizzas. They got to tour the restaurant, make their own mini pizza and put it in the oven. The kiddos had a blast! (So did the moms... I must say I LOVE Pizza Hut personal pan pizzas and I too got to make my own - lots of pineapple! Yum!)

Spencer putting it onto the oven rack...

The boys... so excited to watch their pizzas come out. They kept cheering for their pizza to come out first and they thought it was a race. I don't think they realized that they were all moving at the same pace, so whoever put their pizza in first would obviously get their pizza out first! They were funny to watch though!

Eating our delicious pizzas. Spencer got a certificate saying he was an official junior pizza maker. He is so proud - he keeps asking to make pizzas for dinner declaring that he can make them and that he is the best. He knows just how to do it!

Landon loves pizza - need I say more!

Stephanie's Dance Performance!

Trudy, Spencer, Nick, Landon, Stephanie, and Del...
We went to Steph's dance performance in Rexburg while we were in town. It was really fun to watch her dance. They did a great job, and I must say that Steph had the best facial expressions of anyone on her team!

I cropped all three of these pictures of Steph together...

Steph and Carter

I loved this coustume...

See... Sweet facial expressions, so animated!

This is one of the dances she will perform in Blackpool, England this spring!

Soccer Day 2

Soccer is cool stuff..

Getting ready for the big kick!

Spencer showing a little more aggression in today's game. We had a talk before soccer today... the point of the game is to kick the ball away from players on the other team, and then make a goal. Last week all the kids were into taking turns. This week we had a little more opposition in making a goal.

Jake Miller and Spencer Tobler

This was his big jump today... great landing!

And the cone hop...

Balancing foam blocks... all part of the obstacle course!

Long Awaited Soccer Practice

Spencer has been begging to be in soccer since last spring. If I remember right he cried on and off for three hours one Friday night as we drove around town saying, "I want to play at soccer practice right now!" I finally calmed the situation by telling him when he turned 4 I would put him in soccer. Nick and I laughed as we watched our 3 year old boy cry for soccer practice - still in his 5 harness car seat! "He's way to young," I kept giggling!

Well here we are... not quite 4 yet, but spring soccer practice started today and his next chance would be September... We decided to be SUPER parents and let him start early. I drove past the soccer fields on Thursday and just happened to walk in and inquire about his age group. Luck for us it was the last day to sign up! Spencer went to bed that night saying, "Mom, will you please wake me up and let me know if you get me on the team!" Who could say no to that?! Not me - He and his buddy Jake are both on the Pumas practice team!

Check out how cold it was day 1... Okay the blue is actually a sucker... but it was rainy, windy, and just plain burr!

Check out my speed...

Kicking cones...

Getting his ball back after kicking it into the goal - Go super star!!

Get ready for this awesomeness.... Spencer loves to make a dramatic entrance and pose while he kicks. I'm pretty sure he thinks he's the most hot stuff out there.

Andie (Spencer's friend that also ended up on the same team - Isn't she a cutie!) Spencer waiting his turn.

Kicking cones with the soccer ball... doing awesome in cleats for the first time!

PRO!

Daddy made it to part of Spencer's first soccer practice and then had to head back to work... We're so glad we got to see him for a few minutes!

They played a mini game at the end and this was Spencer's super kick that scored his team a goal! He was pretty proud of that one!!

First Day of Spring...

This was our first really nice day after lots of rain and wind... The boys took advantage of it and played outside for a few hours. Did I mention that it snowed the very next day! We haven't had a really great day since!

Landon tried so hard to put the balls back into the box, but he was just an inch shy of accomplishing his goal!

This was a sweet hug, but it almost came out as a choke hold...

Nick took this picture right before Landon tipped to the ground! Ouch!

Football and cones! What else do boys need?

The perfect line up!
