Dear Family and Friends,
This year Jen retired from her long professional career as a teacher. She planned on a nice retirement living off of Nick’s income. However, he still has a few more months until he graduates from the Master of Accountancy program. Thus we are counting down the days to our new job and adding up all the things that have happened this year. Numbers are flying, so here we go...
3 years of teaching under Jen’s belt before she retired.
15 credits left before Nick graduates this coming April.
1,000,000 little hairs Nick had to shave in order to taper properly for Nationals in
Indiana this summer.
0 times Nick and Chad beat Jen and Sarah in a game of Carcassonne this year.
132 days we had Spencer’s swing up before he was born
41 weeks of waiting for our bundle of joy to arrive.
2 feet of growth (that’s ten toes) in our family this year with the arrival of Spencer on
June 23rd.
6 plane flights Spencer went on before he was two months old.
20 hours of practice Nick puts in each week in order to train for Olympic Trials.
3 times Spencer wakes up in the night to eat.
8 alligators Nick saw while in Florida participating in the Deloitte Tax Challenge.
500 dollars awarded to each member of the BYU tax team for taking 2nd place.
1 flat tire we got after all of our driving from Springville to Provo.
9 week old Spencer received his baby blessing given to him by Nick.
4 meetings Nick attends each month for his calling as Ward Mission Leader.
10 girls in the ward Activity Day’s group that Jen is over.
180 degree turn we took in our lives with the first diaper change that ended up
being a blow out.
24 hours Nick spent in Boise being dined by Deloitte his future employer.
4320 minutes it took us to accept and sign the offer to work for Deloitte in the Boise
office starting next September.
12 0’clock at night – our new bed time.
34 family and friends we have linked to our blog address at: nicholasandjen.blogspot.com
1178 minutes Nick and Jen spend talking to each other on the phone between classes
each month.
∞ number of times Spencer smiles and giggles throughout the day.
We can’t place a number value to your love and friendship. We wish each of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Love, The Tobler Family (Nicholas, Jennifer and Spencer)

So good to get the update from y'all. Sounds like 2007 adds up to be a great year. Mary Karlee & I noticed that you two have the same callings as us, except you're a step up: I'm a ward missionary & MK is the Activity Days Asst.
And your son is adorable with that little hat.
Merry Christmas.
Too cute! I'm very proud of you for updating your blog. It's fun to see how big Spencer is getting and how happy everyone looks!
YEAH!!!! I have been hoping for an update. Your pictures are so cute. I love his little hat!
Finally! How is that little guy doing? He's had a rough run of it lately--hopefully the new formula will be the ticket! He's so cute like a little elfin--he and Charlotte will definitely entertain eachother at Christmas.
