Carmel-by-the-Sea

Thank you Lorin and Janet for a wonderful trip to San Fransisco and Carmel-by-the-Sea! We had a fantastic and relaxing time!

Nick and I went to Bubba Gumps to celebrate our 4 year anniversary... The food was just as good as we remembered it!

We had a great time playing at the Beach. Nick and Lorin threw the Frisbee for quite a while, and then the ladies joined in.

Go Janet! Queen of the Frisbee game...

Hanging out on the Beach at Carmel...

This is the great life - Right you two! We all had so much fun relaxing, eating great food, shopping for tee-shirts, etc. None of us wanted to return to real life.

Boys, I love the hot pink frisbee! We stopped at a game store and happened to get their last frisbee - what a find :o)

When the Manager of the Inn we were staying at found out is was our anniversary they upgraded our room to one of the Sweets and sent us Sparking Apple Cider on the official day! Of course we wouldn't have even been on the trip had it not been for the Tobler's, so we decided to share in the spoil of our 4 year bubbly drink :o)

The 17 Mile drive was Beautiful! We ate a picnic at the beach - Stop #5 and then joyfully sipped our drinks and we took in the gorgeous view!

This time I actually threw in a quarter to check out the view... and it worked! I saw all sorts of great things on the rock. Go figure - the telescopes really work.

Nick inside one of the cells at the Prison. While in San Fransisco we took a ferry over to the island to check out Alcatraz. We really enjoyed the tour and loved the view of San Fran. What a fun city!

Sea Lions at Pier 39!

We loaded up on fresh cherries, salt water taffy, clam chowder and of course, chocolates and ice cream from Ghirardelli. Yum! We also enjoyed stopping by Stanford and eating at a cute little Cafe that Maren recommended from her college days.
We had a great vacation and loved every minute of it. I even survived being away from Spencer for the week. He had fun with Grandpa and Grandma Roberts, Nate and Stephanie... I don't think he missed us at all. He made us feel good by running to us at the airport though!
