Stepping up Friday Nights as a Family

We decided to get creative and have some themed family 'date nights'
This was called Fish Night!  We started of with a dinner of Fish sticks, fries, blue jello full of swimming fish and blue cool-aid.

The boys thought it was delicious.

Then we painted fish pictures with finger paint.

We did slip-n-slid in our front hallway.  (No, we didn't hook the hose up - we did squirt each other with little plastic fish as we slid by thought)

 Nick's turn...

 Spencer's turn...

My turn, those little fish squirt a lot more water than I thought...

 Landon's turn...

Spencer filling his fish with water!

Then we went fishing for treat and small prizes.

We finished with a game of Go Fish and fish crackers.  We rented a fish movie to watch, but decided to watch it the next night instead.  It was a great "Gone Fishing" night!

New Year's Eve

We invited our cousins the Hymas' over for New Year's Eve. We played games, ate delicious food and visited until the little kids were ready to head out for bed.  It was great fun.

Christmas Break!

We started the break off with a Snow Ball fight, but since there was no snow on the ground we had to create our own version of it... (lots of white socks)

Come to find out this type of 'snow ball' fight is much more pleasant.  Plus I really don't like to be cold, so this was the best of both worlds.  Let's just follow this us with Hot Chocolate and call it good!

Grandma Roberts painting over the break.

Grandma Roberts brought her paints and Spencer got to enjoy feeling like a real artist for the week.

Jen, Cooper and Stephanie checking out craft ideas

Christmas morning :o) Spencer got the Gronckle dragon he really wanted and Landon got Percy the train.  They were super excited.

Grandpa Roberts, Steph (new laptop) Grandma Roberts, Cooper and Spencer enjoying the moment.

 Christmas Dinner...

Playing with our new toys - thanks to Aunt Stephanie standing in line ALL NIGHT with a friend and Mom so she could buy our Touch Pads for us.  It was worth it :o) We slept, paid a super cheap price, and let Steph pull the all-nighter.  You're the best :o)

Jen, Mom, and Steph trying to sew Steph a dress she wanted...

This is why I don't sew clothing... It takes three people to pull it off and I'm never patient enough.

Christmas Eve

The boys helped decorate the tree this year and did a great job.

Christmas Eve Santa dropped by and brought everyone pajamas.  Cooper and Jen with Santa!

Jen, Spencer, Landon & Stephanie - watching as each person goes up to get their gift from Santa.

Getting into costume to act our the Nativity and Christ's birth.

Landon loved Santa.  He gave him a huge hug and then didn't want to let go :o)

Happy Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed a wonderful vacation to visit Grandma and Grandpa Roberts.  It was fun to be with all the family.  (Grandma hugging Landon and Cooper)

Landon loved the dog running under his legs.

Spencer and Landon seeing how high they could jump... I think they jump like their mom - maybe they'll grow out of it.

Playing with Aunt Stephanie

Nick and all Three boys - They look so handsome all together.

Uncle Derek and Landon... Derek brings out the crazy in Landon :o) It doesn't take much though.

No caption need - "What a Stud"

Steph and Landon working on their gingerbread house.

Spencer, Grandma, Grandpa, Jen, Nick, Landon, Kristi, Steph & Cooper.
We had fun decorating our houses!

Derek with his Egg Nog - Nick and Derek promised to have it all drunk by the end of the week...

I think Derek did more than his fair-share!  I think he had to chug the last little bit so they could finish the bet.

We all helped my dad putty holes in the sun room so they could finish painting the baseboards etc.

Kristi, Derek and Nick playing games.  Nick and I finally got tired of playing Alhambra because Kristi beat us so many times.  Just for the record that is not super common :o)  Maybe I have Pride issues.
