The Boys having fun!

Check out these dinosaur sugar cookies! We know how to make Spencer happy. He thought these cookies were the best ever! Of course he had to pay a pretty high price for them... an afternoon nap! Let's just say he no longer loves to nap - It took him 3 hrs. to decide that a nap would be worth making Dinosaur cookies, so he finally laid down and fell asleep, on the couch no less. The second he woke up, while still rubbing his eyes, he yelled out "time for dinosaur cookies!"
Side note: While I went to Young Womens I let Nick and Spencer frost them green. They would scoop out chunks of frosting and then raise it high in the air and watch it fall to the cookie (while cheering of course)... after that they would squish it on and pat it down! Beautiful huh! I guess Spencer had a blast...
As for my artistic ability - I was pretty proud of my freehand! Thanks to all the dinosaur books we've been reading I had a pretty good idea of what image I was going for. I never knew I had such hidden talents! Way to let them shine huh!

Spencer's new pastime... climbing in the pack-n-play with Landon!
Caught ya!

Called to Labor in the...

The anticipation building...
Nate was called to serve his mission in Texas, the Fort Worth mission! He will be speaking Spanish! Elder Roberts will enter the MTC on May 5th, 2010. This is exciting, but soon! However, he made it in just before Mother's Day so maybe we will get to chat at the MTC.
We were unable to drive to Provo for the actual opening of the call, so second best choice... we did a Skype conference call. The video is me recording the Skype call. Kristi and Derek were also on a Skype call in Arizona!

Nate has his Mission Call in his Hands!

Maybe Australia, Maybe Not!! It never hurts to send a subtle hint when handing in your papers - ha ha ha! I don't think the First Presidency of the Church needs any hints... I'm sure they know exactly where to send ya!
I can hardly wait any longer. Nate handed in his mission papers 2 weeks ago and is waiting for the mail to arrive! (Recent update: he is holding his papers in his hands right now!) My Parents are headed there, and Nate will open his call this evening around 9:15 p.m.! We are all making our final guesses - if you'd like to get in on the "Where is Nate going for the next 2 years of his life competition?" put your guess in on his blog! Good luck - and a little trash talk: "I'm going to win!"

A few more Holiday Favorites!

Grandma and Grandpa Tobler with all of the Grandkids. Spencer is on the far left and Landon in far right. Aren't these good-looking cousins!
This was our family picture at Christmas time. We had fun with all the bright colors.

While in Arizona we decided to call up Nick's High School buddy Birju and see if he wanted to get together for lunch or something... Funny story! He was a little tight for time, so we decided drinks at Bahama Bucks would be perfect. However, on the day of the hang out we had been running around with different family members. Jen getting nails done etc. We found ourselves back at home with no car. Nick called Birju and asked if we could maybe get together the next day or what not. He said instead, he'd be happy to pick us all up! I got a kick out of this one. Picture this... Long lost high school friend, Nick hasn't seen in 10 year, is currently living the single life in New York and working for McKinsey one of the largest consulting firms comes to pick up family of 4 in his black - luckily 4 door car. Drives us to Bahama bucks and hangs out with us and the kiddos for a few hours. Basically, we had a blast. It was fun to meet Nick's Best friend from the younger years and hear all that he is involved with.

Feeding the Giraffe

The long anticipated trip to the Phoenix Zoo to feed the Giraffes!
Spencer talked about feeding the Giraffes at the Zoo every day for 2 1/2 months... When Grandma and Grandpa Tobler came to see baby Landon for the first time Grandma told Spencer she'd take him to the zoo when he came. She told him about the new exhibit - feeding the Giraffes. Let's just say Spencer is a very patient boy!

Spencer thought this was awesome. They were really big up close and super cool. He wasn't scared at all and if it hadn't been for the guide telling us to step back or put our hands just so, I'm sure Spencer would have been fine sticking his whole hand in it's mouth. This was the best thing he'd done in his 2 1/2 years of life! At least that was the way it seemed.

Playing on the tractors at the zoo park with all the girls... Cousin Caroline was Spencer's best buddy at the zoo.

Riding the Carousel... notice the Giraffe... theme of the whole adventure!
Watch close because the food is gone before - ooh you probably missed it! I think Giraffes eat a little too quickly! I'd rather a small nibble here and there... we actually missed Spencer the first few times because it went so fast.

Landon's Baby Blessing

Nick blessed Baby Landon over Christmas break in his parents ward. It was really nice to have his dad, both brothers, brother-in-law, and cousin-in-law in the circle. It was a neat and special day for Landon.

The Men! Don't they look handsome... I know all of the wives agree with me!

This was the whole group. We all went over to Grandma and Grandpa Tobler's after church for lunch. The cousins had a great time playing together.

Family Photos

Here we all are hanging around in the aftermath of family photos.

Merry Christmas

Check out Santa's helpers. I bought these Santa Pj's last January when I knew I was pregnant. I couldn't wait to see little Landon in them. He looked great. What cute brothers by the tree on Christmas Eve.

All the Dad's got Plasma Cars for Christmas - Well, you can see who really took advantage of the awesome cars! Thanks G&G Tobler :o)

Spencer!

Christmas night - The boys modeling their new Nike clothes (thanks G&G Tobler) and Spencer's new scooter from Santa!

Christmas morning was great. Spencer loved all of his new things. Don't let his face fool you. He especially loved his new dinosaurs and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs movie.

Christmas Eve. Reading a bedtime story and getting ready to open up our new pajamas.

Christmas Eve dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant. You have to love Arizona for its great food and awesome weather!

Our Christmas Tree...

Thanks Mom and Dad for the Christmas Tree this year. We loved having the beautiful lights brighten up our home each night. Spencer had a hard time not ripping down the ornaments each day. He would say, "They are so pretty... I want to touch!" and then all of the ornaments 2 feet and below would end up scattered around the room. Needless to say the rule changed from no touching to touching softly and trying not to take the ornaments off the tree. Once he quit taking the beautiful/tempting ornaments off the tree it became a dinosaur fortress. Ya just have to love little boys!
